Message from Hershey’s Mill Security
Due to the number of different (1) alarm systems installed in Hershey’s Mill, (2) communication formats sent by those panels, and (3) types of equipment (hardwired/wireless detectors, cellular communicators…etc.) programmed into them, it can be difficult to understand all of the various alarm codes contained within alarm repair reports…and be able to decipher what type of response is needed for each.
In order to assist those involved in addressing alarm repair report issues, Security created a chart (attached), sorted in ascending order by SIGNAL ID, that includes all of the different alarm trouble codes (common and obscure) that could be contained in an alarm repair report, including the Signal ID, Zone, Description, Cause, and Remedy for each code.
This chart should help streamline the alarm repair process through (1) a better understanding of the issues and their causes, (2) clearer communication with residents, and (3) elimination of unnecessary troubleshooting measures.
