Bugs 101

They fly around, crawl around, slink around outside and inside—what are they? What good are they?  Which can I crush? And which should I cherish?  Too many bugs and too many questions?  John Lisowski will bring some order to our understanding of these small but diverse neighbors or at least give us reason to enjoy them.

Nest Box Monitoring Kickoff

You’ve seen them, but did you know that there are over 100 nestboxes in Hershey’s Mill?  Resident volunteers maintain and monitor these boxes—watching the broods of bluebirds, chickadees, and tree swallows as they grow and fledge.  Come learn about the program; see the results from 2024 and maybe volunteer for 2025.
